Basketball Recap: Fitchburg Takes a Loss

Fitchburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Middlesex Regional Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 51-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2020.

Fitchburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for North Middlesex Regional, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Fitchburg will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Marlborough at 6:00 p.m. As for North Middlesex Regional, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-40 defeat against North on the 5th.
