Southaven is 9-1 against Hernando since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Southaven Chargers will welcome the Hernando Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Hernando took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Southaven, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Southaven didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Oxford, but they still walked away with a 66-62 victory.

Meanwhile, Hernando was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were beaten by Horn Lake 87-44. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Eagles are ranked 16th).

Southaven's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Hernando, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.

Southaven beat Hernando 53-45 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will Southaven repeat their success, or does Hernando have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
