Recap: Dixie County Bears vs. Lafayette Hornets
The Dixie County Bears were the 54-37 winner over the Lafayette Hornets when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Dixie County took a 42-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lafayette on Tuesday. Dixie County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lafayette to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Copeland, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Copeland has scored at least 25% of Lafayette's points. Another player making a difference was Havyn Richardson, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals.
Dixie County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Lafayette, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie County will take on Countryside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette, they will be playing at home against Fort White at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
