Volleyball Recap: Elkin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Elkin lost against Ashe County back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Buckin' Elks lost 3-0 to the Huskies. The Buckin' Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Elkin was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.

Lorali Overcash went supernova For Ashe County., getting 12 digs, seven kills, seven aces, and two blocks. Overcash has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 26 times she's played. Kinzley Blevins was another key player, getting 18 digs and five assists.

Elkin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Ashe County, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Elkin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wilkes Central on the 2nd. As for Ashe County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against North Wilkes on the 2nd.
