Baseball Recap: Richlands Takes a Loss

Richlands's last matchup with Swansboro could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. Richlands came up short against Swansboro, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Richlands' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Swansboro, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richlands will challenge Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Swansboro, they will square off against White Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. White Oak has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something Swansboro will no doubt try to take advantage of.
