Marvin Ridge falls despite strong effort from Brady Dunn

The Marvin Ridge Mavericks have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 65-51 bruising from Fort Mill on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marvin Ridge in their matchups with Fort Mill: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Marvin Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brady Dunn. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Josh Clark was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and two steals.

Fort Mill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian McCain out in front who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was AJ Washington, who scored 18 points along with two steals.

Marvin Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Fort Mill, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

As for Fort Mill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lancaster at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Lancaster is ranked 21st, while Fort Mill is ranked 23rd).
