Soccer Recap: North Mecklenburg Takes a Loss

North Mecklenburg lost against Hopewell back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings lost 9-0 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, North Mecklenburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 400th, while Hopewell are ranked 96th).

North Mecklenburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-14-2. As for Hopewell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Mecklenburg will square off against rival West Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hopewell is set to challenge their familiar foe Hough at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
