Basketball Recap: Downsville Takes a Loss

Downsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The match between them and the Calvin Cougars didn't end well, with the Downsville Demons falling 45-30. The Demons lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 50-10 score last time.

Downsville's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Calvin, they moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Downsville will face off against Dodson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvin, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quitman will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Calvin surely won't give up without a fight.
