Softball Recap: Tomball Memorial Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Langham Creek, Tomball Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Shadow Creek Sharks. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Lacey Matheson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Grace Erwin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Tomball Memorial pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs over those games. As for Shadow Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Tomball Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against Tidehaven on the 13th. As for Shadow Creek, they have also already played their next match, a 15-1 loss against Southlake Carroll on the 13th.
