Basketball Game Preview: Out-of-Door Academy Thunder vs. Gulf Coast HEAT

Having just played yesterday, the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder will head out on the road to face off against Gulf Coast HEAT at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Out-of-Door Academy turned things around against Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 50-36 victory over the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Gulf Coast HEAT came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 55-49 win over the Panthers. While Gulf Coast HEAT didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gulf Coast HEAT pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Out-of-Door Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Everything went Out-of-Door Academy's way against Gulf Coast HEAT in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as Out-of-Door Academy made off with a 69-45 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Gulf Coast HEAT's Gavin Troyer, who posted 30 points.
