After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pisgah, Enka was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Cherokee Braves by a score of 27-19. The Jets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

William Parham had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 136 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 86 yards.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Saylor, who rushed for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 38 receiving yards.

Enka's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cherokee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Enka wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 33-7 loss against McDowell on the 19th. As for Cherokee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-6 victory against Rosman on the 19th.
