They took  a  50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freedom Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the  49-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in February of 2024.
 Charles J. Colgan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Audrey Williams, who  posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was  Ari Leonard, who  put up six  points.
 Freedom had a senior duo take command as  Savannah Price  almost  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and nine  rebounds and  Keilani Johnson  went 5 of 6  en route to 15  points. The  match was  Johnson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Keilana Johnson, who  scored seven points and three  steals.
Charles J. Colgan's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-7. As for Freedom, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Freedom beat Charles J. Colgan by a score of  49-34 on Friday.
