Basketball Recap: Lemoore Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Lemoore unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to the Hanford Bullpups. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bullpups this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-68 back in January.

Lemoore's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Micah Fox, who went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and six blocks. The matchup was Fox's eighth in a row with at least 18 points. Larry Logan III was another key player, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Lemoore's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Hanford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemoore will venture away from home to square off against Mission College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Royals have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Hanford, they will head out on the road to face off against Sanger at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
