Softball Recap: Natchitoches Central Comes Up Short

Natchitoches Central was the 7-1 winner over Grant when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Natchitoches Central took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grant on Friday. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Skylar Braxton was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. London Braxton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Natchitoches Central's record now sits at 5-14. As for Grant, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Natchitoches Central will head out to square off against Evangel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grant, they will square off against Grace Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
