Basketball Recap: Philip Has No Trouble Against Belle Fourche

Philip's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 victory over the Belle Fourche Broncs. For the Scotties, this counts as revenge for the 56-45 win the Broncs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Drew Terkildsen went supernova, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. What's more, she racked up eight steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kale Peterson, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds.

The victory got Philip back to even at 1-1. As for Belle Fourche, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Philip didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-15 win against Stanley County on the 18th. As for Belle Fourche, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-50 defeat against Sundance on the 19th.
