Basketball Game Preview: Peaster Greyhounds vs. Breckenridge Buckaroos

The Peaster Greyhounds will head out to take on the Breckenridge Buckaroos at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Peaster's defense has only allowed 23.4 points per game this season, so Breckenridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Peaster's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Comanche offense got past them. Peaster came up short against Comanche on Tuesday, falling 63-38. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 658th, while the Indians are ranked 256th).

Meanwhile, Breckenridge came up short against Millsap on Tuesday and fell 47-34. The Buckaroos have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Peaster has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-5 record this season. As for Breckenridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-22.

Peaster took a serious blow against Breckenridge when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 60-28. Can Peaster avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
