Aiden Geiger made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bentley Johnson was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Rhoads, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Granville Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Genoa Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .273.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian came up short against Liberty Christian Academy on Thursday and fell 5-2. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
