Football Game Recap: Plant Panthers vs. Columbus Explorers

The Plant Panthers and the Columbus Explorers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Plant Panthers had to settle for second. Their tough 27-7 defeat to the Explorers might stick with them for a while. Plant's defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Trey O'Malley threw for 181 yards and a touchdown. Whitt Busbee was his top target, picking up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Plant's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Columbus, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Plant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Columbus will take on Mandarin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mandarin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
