Softball Recap: Shepard Comes Up Short

Joliet Catholic hit Shepard with a six-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Astros came up short against the Hilltoppers, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Astros have suffered since April 14th.

Shepard's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Joliet Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-19 record this season.

Shepard will challenge Andrew at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Joliet Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
