Recap: Marble Falls Mustangs vs. Blanco Panthers
The Marble Falls Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 44-20 margin over Blanco. With Marble Falls ahead 28-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Blanco still got an impressive performance from Mina Broyles, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Blanco struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Marble Falls' victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15. As for Blanco, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-12 record last season and are now at 7-11.
Marble Falls and Floresville will round out the year against one another at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at. Floresville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Blanco, they will face off against San Antonio Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. San Antonio Christian will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
