Softball Recap: Oak Hill Red Devils vs. Liberty Raiders

Oak Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Liberty Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Oak Hill of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Oak Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Halee Jones, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

On Liberty's side, Maddie Cox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Cox has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Cox was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
