Model hadn't done well against Cedartown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Model took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-12.

Catherine Betz paced Model's offense, picking up six kills. Betz got some help from Landry Johnson and her 12 assists. Betz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Model's victory bumped their record up to 29-6. As for Cedartown, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-26.

Model has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Calhoun on the 27th. As for Cedartown, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East Paulding at 5:00 p.m.
