Basketball Game Preview: Denbigh Patriots vs. Churchland Truckers

Denbigh is on a 15-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Churchland a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Two weeks ago, Denbigh took a blow against Warwick, falling 56-19. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Raiders are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Churchland had to suffer through a 53-17 loss at the hands of Great Bridge.

Churchland's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Denbigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
