Basketball Recap: Derby Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Derby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Crosby Bulldogs, falling 73-42. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-31 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Derby lost, don't look at Shea Gray. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 36 points and 20 boards. That was a full 85.7% of the Red Raiders' points, marking the 15th time in a row Gray has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Derby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Crosby, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-6.

Derby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-52 victory against Waterbury Career Academy on the 6th. As for Crosby, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-38 win against St. Paul Catholic on the 5th.
