Softball Recap: Georgetown Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Georgetown won against Elgin last Friday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Hendrickson Hawks by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Georgetown pushed their record up to 18-8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Hendrickson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9-1 record this season.

Georgetown and Hendrickson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 78th) will meet Weiss (ranked 251st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hendrickson will square off against Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (358 vs. 850).
