Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Patriots vs. O'Gorman Knights

Lincoln is 0-10 against O'Gorman since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lincoln Patriots will square off against the O'Gorman Knights at 6:00 p.m.

Lincoln is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Brookings, falling 60-39.

Meanwhile, O'Gorman put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 57-38 win over Rapid City Central. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Cobblers are ranked 116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

O'Gorman's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.1 points. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Lincoln was taken down by O'Gorman 66-28 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
