Softball Game Preview: Valley Pirates vs. Zuni Thunderbirds

The Valley Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Zuni Thunderbirds at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Valley can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They lost 21-1 to Ganado. The Pirates have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariana Joe, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Zuni came up short against Santa Rosa on Thursday, falling 25-3. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
