Basketball Recap: Crescent Comes Up Short

Crescent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Woodruff Wolverines and fell 70-39. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Wolverines are ranked 64th).

Woodruff got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Robinson out in front who went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points and five steals. What's more, Robinson also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jensyn Turner, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

Crescent's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Woodruff, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-5.

As of now, neither Crescent nor Woodruff have any future games scheduled.
