Rockbridge County lost against Spotswood back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Trailblazers by a score of 2-1. Rockbridge County's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Rockbridge County's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Spotswood, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.

Rockbridge County and Spotswood could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Wildcats will square off against William Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (228 vs. 67). Meanwhile, Spotswood (ranked 132nd) will meet Turner Ashby (ranked 29th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
