Basketball Game Preview: Boonville Pioneers vs. Tell City Marksmen

The Boonville Pioneers will challenge the Tell City Marksmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Boonville is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since December 28, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of South Spencer by a score of 53-50. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tell City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over North Posey on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Marksmen have posted against the Vikings since February 17, 2018.

Boonville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Tell City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Boonville beat Tell City 51-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does Boonville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tell City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
