Basketball Game Preview: Stebbins Indians vs. Troy Trojans

The Stebbins Indians will take on the Troy Trojans in a holiday battle at at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Stebbins has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Stebbins is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Greenville 59-28. The score was close at the half, but the Indians pulled away in the second half with 39 points.

Aubrey Fritz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 15 en route to 17 points along with eight steals and six assists. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Amann, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Troy came into Wednesday's matchup having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 41-30 win over Xenia on Wednesday.

Troy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Stebbins, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Stebbins against Troy in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 50-19 victory. In that game, Stebbins amassed a halftime lead of 29-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
