Basketball Recap: Barbourville Comes Up Short

Barbourville lost against Corbin back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The contest between the Barbourville Tigers and the Corbin Redhounds didn't end well, with the Barbourville Tigers falling 78-62. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barbourville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Corbin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Barbourville will be playing at home against Clay County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clay County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Barbourville likes a good challenge. Corbin has already played their next contest (against Whitley County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
