Basketball Game Preview: Gadsden County Jaguars vs. Chiles Timberwolves

The Gadsden County Jaguars will challenge the Chiles Timberwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Gadsden County is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Madison County on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Gadsden County was beaten by Madison County 68-29. The Jaguars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-18.

Meanwhile, Chiles came up short against Madison County on Thursday and fell 54-42. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Cowboys are ranked 216th).

Chiles has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Gadsden County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Gadsden County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Chiles in their previous meeting on January 14th, but they still walked away with a 38-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gadsden County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
