Softball Game Preview: Pequannock Golden Panthers vs. Pompton Lakes Cardinals

The Pequannock Golden Panthers will take on the Pompton Lakes Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pompton Lakes took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Pequannock, who comes in off a win.

Pequannock is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over Lenape Valley on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Pompton Lakes fell victim to Vernon and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Cardinals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The victory got Pequannock back to even at 2-2. As for Pompton Lakes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.
