Canyon had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 34-33 W against the Cypress Centurions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 25-14 on September 10th.

Ella Feldhaus threw for 245 yards and three TDs while completing 79.2% of her passes. Emma Welker was her top target, picking up 103 receiving yards.

Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Cypress, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon will welcome Sonora at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 12.6 points per game this season, so the Comanches' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cypress, they will square off against Esperanza at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
