Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn Valley Takes a Loss

The Elkhorn Valley Falcons came up short against the Norfolk Catholic Knights on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-14.

Elkhorn Valley's offense was headlined by Kyndal Werner and Kayton Werner, who picked up five kills apiece. Kyndal really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11.

Norfolk Catholic found their leader in sophomore Reese Timmerman, who had 12 digs and three aces.

Elkhorn Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Norfolk Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkhorn Valley will host Wakefield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norfolk Catholic, they will be playing at home against Bishop Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
