            Softball Preview: Wynne Yellowjackets vs. Lonoke Jackrabbits        
        
		
        
        
            For the first time this season, Wynne will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to  face off against the Lonoke Jackrabbits  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Wynne's tournament run continued when they took on Millington Central  back in March. The Yellowjackets walked away with  a   9-6  win over the Trojans.
Meanwhile, Lonoke entered their tilt with South Side on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Hornet by a score of  7-2.
 Kendra Terry was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double. That  double was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Shaniya Jackson, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  triples (two). Another player making a difference was  Kirsten Holt, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  double and one  RBI.
 Lonoke was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Side only posted a  batting average of  .200.
 Wynne has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Lonoke, their record now sits at 10-5.
