Recap: Needles Mustangs vs. Adelson
In what's become a running theme this season, the Needles Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Adelson 90-21 on the road. Needles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Needles got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Darrell Russell out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Russell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luca Walema, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 18 rebounds, and ten assists.
Needles pushed their record up to 21-0 with that win, which was their 15th straight on the road. As for Adelson, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Needles will head out on the road to challenge White Pine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. White Pine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Adelson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Laughlin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Laughlin is ranked 101st, while Adelson is ranked 111th).
