Baseball Recap: Orchard Park Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Orchard Park nor Williamsville North made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Quakers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2. The Quakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Orchard Park saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Valiquette, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Orchard Park's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Williamsville North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7-1 record this season.

While Orchard Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
