Softball Recap: Point Arena Pirates vs. Willits Wolverines

Point Arena dropped to 6-7 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Willits Wolverines, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Alexa Ferreyra was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

As for Willits, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won 11 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
