Basketball Recap: Fallston Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Fallston challenged Rising Sun on Wednesday. The Fallston Cougars were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Rising Sun Tigers. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 70-62.

Fallston's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Oliver Schamburg, who posted 14 points. Oliver Rueckert was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Fallston's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Rising Sun, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Fallston has already played their next contest, a 67-45 victory against Rising Sun on the 28th. As for Rising Sun, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-63 loss against Harford Tech on the 20th.
