Baseball Recap: Olathe Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Olathe took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against North Fork, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Olathe had just enough and edged out North Fork 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since March 16, 2024.

Evan Eddy made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Eddy wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Good, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Olathe pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.6 runs. As for North Fork, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Olathe has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 victory against Salida on the 28th. As for North Fork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-4 win against Rangely on the 29th.
