Softball Recap: University Gets the Win

The third road game was the charm for University, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against the Orange Tornadoes by a score of 20-17 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-19 last Monday.

Mariame Kourouma made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Kourouma was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Amani Ramos was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Lizbeth Santana was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
