Baseball Game Preview: Hightstown Rams vs. Steinert Spartans

Hightstown is 1-9 against Steinert since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Hightstown will welcome Steinert at 11:00 a.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Hightstown was able to grind out a solid win over West Windsor-Plainsboro South, taking the game 8-4. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Dominick Terranova tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony Benitez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Krier, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Steinert sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over Lawrence on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted against the Cardinals since April 6, 2018.
