Cypress Bay barely beat Sagemont Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lightning put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp  3-0 victory on Thursday. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Cypress Bay never let Sagemont Prep on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-7,  25-16.
Among those leading the charge was   Julia Diaz, who  had 11  digs and four  aces. That's the most  aces  she has posted since back in September.
 They weren't the only good servers: Cypress Bay  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 19  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sagemont Prep only  served six.
  Juliana Aristizabal and  Amanda Chin certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Aristizabal  had 13  digs, while  Chin  had 13  digs. Aristizabal is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last five games she's  played.
Cypress Bay's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Sagemont Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
 Cypress Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  win against Western on the 15th. As for Sagemont Prep, they have also already played their next match,  a  3-0  victory against Franklin Academy on the 10th.
