Softball Game Preview: Clinton Dark Horses vs. Princeton Bulldogs

The Clinton Dark Horses will head out to take on the Princeton Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clinton's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matches, but Wednesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Clinton's offense. They lost 12-0 to Richlands on Friday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Princeton was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of Eastern Wayne by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Mary Rachel Uzzell spent all 11.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up 25 Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Princeton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Waller, who went 1-for-5 with one home run.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Princeton, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 3-3.
