Baseball Game Preview: Little Miami Panthers vs. West Clermont Wolves

Little Miami is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will challenge the West Clermont Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Little Miami beat Bishop Fenwick 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Brayden Hiles looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Little Miami got a massive performance out of Charlie Whitacre, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Colin Milligan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, West Clermont put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Archbishop McNicholas by a score of 4-1.

West Clermont's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Tahat, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Nathan Willison, who scored a run and stole three bases.

West Clermont's record now sits at 3-0. As for Little Miami, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Little Miami might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from West Clermont in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
