Jake Whitaker ran for two touchdowns and
Myles Johnson added two as well as
South Hunterdon (Lambertville, N.J.) bested Dayton (Springfield, N.J.) 48-13 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Whitaker touchdown run in the first quarter, the Eagles were up 28-7 at the half.
South Hunterdon expanded its lead to 34 points entering the fourth quarter. SH scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
With the win the Lambertville school extended its winning streak to seven games. South Hunterdon defeated Brearley 16-14 last week.
The Eagles went into the matchup giving up only 7.8 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 14-10 win for South Hunterdon.
In a non-conference game next week Dayton (2-5) takes on Roselle Park, and South Hunterdon (7-0) will go up against Sussex County Tech also in a non-conference game.
