Pike County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bullock County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. Considering Pike County have won four games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Pike County, bringing their record up to 7-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Bullock County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-1.

Coincidentally, Pike County and Bullock County will both be playing Dale County the next time they take the pitch. The Hornets will head out to face the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st.
