Baseball Game Preview: Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks vs. Snohomish Panthers

Marysville-Pilchuck is 0-10 against Snohomish since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Tomahawks will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Marysville-Pilchuck has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marysville-Pilchuck is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 25th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Snohomish, falling 11-0.

For Snohomish's part, Brayden Holscher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Holscher has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Landon Klein was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Clark, who earned two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Snohomish always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win (which was Snohomish's seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
